The Technical Truth

Acquirer-requested TRA exemptions can be rejected by the issuing bank's Access Control Server (ACS), returning a soft-decline response code. Traditional integrations are structurally incapable of catching this asynchronous response, treating the soft decline as a hard billing failure.

The moment an issuer ACS returns a soft-decline payload, our router intercepts the code, pauses the payment queue state, and dispatches a token to the VNA Identity SDK on the client's screen. The SDK instantly displays a secure, cross-origin step-up modal, allowing the customer to authenticate the charge biometrically via their local hardware WebAuthn key and complete the sale in seconds.
